The Dell Inspiron 1501 is a 15.4" widescreen notebook now available with the AMD Sempron, Turion or Turion X2 processor. The Inspiron 1501 has a subset of the Intel based Inspiron e1505 features and carries the same basic design and build as that popular laptop. Unfortunately, Dell cut features on the Inspiron 1501 but didn't cut its price a whole lot relative to the e1505. Unless you really want an AMD processor, it's hard to recommend this machine over the only slightly more expensive and better e1505.

I bought this laptop to do my online schooling on and I don't think I could have picked any better of a computer. Pros* Amazing Features Tons of apps Perfect for everyday use Light weight Great Webcam Awesome tutorial on how to use Tells you how to better run it Tells you how to save more power (it literally talks to you and tells you what your doing is or isn't affecting your long term life of the computer) Cons* Runs games slow (would suggest getting a different processor if your plan to run g ... ames on it) Hard to use at first(if your not familiar with windows 8 it can be very frustrating at first. Give it time and watch the tutorial and its great!) More >

First bought, it was really good - pretty, fast performance, etc. Then after about 5-ish months, it began failing on me. I have to do a lot of work, so i can stand around waiting for the computer to unfreeze and all that. So annoying. i dont use it anymore, it is just rotting under a desk

I've seen a lot of complaints about windows 8. I personally love it and it takes getting used too. There are certain programs that will not work with windows 8 I found this out on my desktop and it will cause the software to crash. This laptop so far has been great. I have no complaints and it has been fast and is super quiet. The look and feel of it is great and I love the keyboard. I saw a lot of bad reviews but it sounds like some of them just got bad luck. Again, I love this laptop and haven' ... t had an issue with it so far. More >
